Blessed Thistle is a unique, distinctive-looking plant that resembles a thistle. Blessed Thistle is also called Holy Thistle, Spotted Thistle, St. Benedict's Thistle, Cardin, Carbenia Benedicta, Cardo Bendito, Cardo Bendito, Cardo Santo and Carduus. It blooms with striking yellow flowers surrounded by sharp, spiky gray-green leaves. It grows on thick, fleshy, red stems. It is native to the Mediterranean region. Plant this plant in a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. In the wild, Blessed Thistle grows on stony ground and in fields. Blessed Thistle is very attractive to bees, butterflies, hoverflies, and other beneficial insects. Blessed Thistle flowers from April till July. This is a non hardy annual.
