Root parsley

Root parsley is a "Heirloom vegetable" in the Netherlands. This is a shame, because this healthy, delicious and versatile vegetable is easy to grow yourself. The slender white root looks like a parsnip, but it taste as parsley. This mild flavoured vegetable combines well with: pasta, Brussel sprouts, chicken, beef, pork, potatoes, carrots, bacon, salmon and tomatoes. You can cook, stew, steam and stir-fry this root vegetable. Or add this delicious and healthy vegetable to soups, mashed potato stews, casseroles and stews.
