Melon
Melon is an exotic fruit and it originates from the Middle East. Despite the exotic appearance you can grow this family member of the cucumber very well in our colder climate. Start early with sowing and plant the seedlings outdoors when there's no longer any danger of frost. Provide the plants with enough warmth, sunlight and fertilizer. Use melon in a delicious fruit salad, in desserts, in a summer salad, with ham as a starter and as a refreshing melon soup in the summer.
