This melon variety is very popular because it has an excellent taste and starts growing early in the season. The fruits are large, oval and ribbed. The skin has a heavy, golden net. The melons can weigh up to 1.8 kg each. The deep orange flesh of these melons is very thick, deliciously sweet and very fragrant.  Melons are related to courgettes, cucumbers and pumpkins. It is a so-called fruit vegetable. Melons contain many healthy nutrients such as: protein, fibre, carbohydrates and few calories. Eating a piece of melon makes you feel satiated for longer. This is useful if you want to lose weight. Melon also contains a lot of water.

Melon is a very healthy vegetable and contains the vitamins A, B6, B11, B5 and B5: A, B6, B11, B12, C, E and K. And the minerals: calcium, iron, potassium, copper, manganese, magnesium, sodium and zinc. Melon can be baked, barbecued, grilled, added to salads, soups, casseroles and stews. Add the melon at the last moment so that the structure does not change too much. You can also add melon to smoothies, desserts, breakfast, fruit salads and other dishes. Melon should not be kept in the refrigerator as it disturbs the ripening process. Melon can be frozen and then kept for 12 months. You can keep a melon at room temperature for about 5 - 7 days.
