Kiwano

Kiwano is also known as African horned cucumber, horned melon or hedged gourd. Kiwano originates from Africa.  You can grow this exotic fruit vegetable in our colder climate (the Netherlands and Belgium) indoors in a green house or hot house. Give this plant enough light, warmth and shelter. Use the fruit in salads, desserts, salsas, smoothies, fruit salads, with ice and in other dishes. You can also use Kiwano with yoghurt or fresh cheese as breakfast or dessert.
