Carrots
Carrots are easy to grow. They're available in different shapes and sizes. There are early, main-crop and storage varieties. But not all carrots are orange, there are also white, red, yellow and even purple varieties. This very healthy vegetable has a mild, sweet and delicious flavour that combines well with: potatoes, onions, lemon, parsley, coriander, beef, salmon, chicken, coco, courgette, pork, chilli, lamb, clove and nutmeg. You can cook, stir-fry, steam, stew and roast this versatile vegetable. Or use them in soups, sauces, pasta sauces and tarts. Cooked carrots sprinkled with fresh parsley are a delicacy.
