Brussel Sprouts

Brussels sprouts are very easy to grow. This well-known vegetable needs little introduction. Like other cabbage varieties, Brussels sprouts require plenty of nutrients and benefit from a well-fertilised soil. Brussels sprouts are rich in healthy nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They contain a particularly high amount of vitamin K. Brussels sprouts are especially delicious when combined with ingredients such as bacon, pork, potatoes, cheese, apple, chicken, red chilli, carrots, paprika powder, tomatoes, minced meat, peppers and nuts. They can be prepared in many ways, including boiled, stir-fried, steamed, braised or baked in oven dishes, for example with cheese. They are also a traditional and much-loved ingredient in mashed potato dishes, especially when combined with potatoes and bacon.
