Greenberry is a member of the black nightshades and Solanum family. It originates from Australia. The compact plants flower with very dainty, little white flowers. They are followed by a prolific amount of light green, little round berries. The ripe berries are more translucent and darker green. The flavour is exotic, slightly sweet and tomato-like. Don't use the Greenberry raw. It can be stir-fried. You can also make delicious jam, juice, sauce or a preserve with the berries. Non hardy annual. Height: 50 - 100 cm.
