French Bean Faraday is an organically grown, very fine, very deliciously flavoured string bean variety. This professional variety produces a prolific amount of very fine, uniform, haricot vert-like, dark green string beans. They can grow up to about 13 - 14 cm in size. This variety has a good restistance against pox and bonenrolmozaiekvirus. Use Faraday in soups, stews, stir-fries, Indonesian dishes (Sambal Goreng Boontjes), in pastasauces and other Italian dishes. Use it also shortly cooked or wrapped in bacon. Faraday can be stored by deepfreezing or kept for a couple of days in the fridge. Non hardy annual. Height: 50 - 55 cm.

Sow indoors for an early harvest from april on. Sow in individual pots about 3-4 cm deep and cover the seeds with a thick layer of soil . This variety is a dark germinator. Keep the seeds warm and moist. Transplant the seedlings, in the beginning of may, when there's no longer any danger of nightsfrosts on a sunny, sheltered plot with free draining soil. Keep them about 45 cm apart. Protect the seedlings against snails, slugs and other pests.
